The way I see it, this sort of shot is more or less frivolous and any time I come across a bokeh ball Christmas light shot I walk right on by. They are a dime a dozen, yet, here I am sharing a burst of chaotic light with you guys to kick of the holidays. Well, for me at least. I came back from traveling up north and as always, hit the ground running so free time is somewhat of a luxury. My mind is stuffed full of things I would like to get done around here this week before the holiday creeps to close to have a little fun. I may not come up with a shot quite a somber and interesting as the tree by the lake I set up last year but I’m doing my best to come up with something.
A few people have asked me to release a new gift idea list this year which I didn’t expect. Because of this I have been gathering interesting ideas to share with you guys. It’s hard to make a list thats not redundant as there are so many creeping up online now covering so many interesting things already. Ill do my best though and hopefully get that up early next week.
In other news, while in New York I managed to drop my new X-Pro1 exactly in the wrong way and the shutter button popped right off. Bits of it shot across the floor and my heart sank as I stared down into the hole where my shutter button once was. I left it with a repair shop in the city and am waiting on a response. I sure have felt the loss in my every day shooting but am pressing on with the old 5D at this point. Its a shame, really.
For now I have been shooting with my 5D again. Enjoy the new wallpaper and keep an eye out for more here soon.
