One Shot
This was a small box of a shop on the side of a small street in Jaisalmer and one of my favorite portraits from the trip. I had to shoot pretty quick so they would not get uncomfortable as they already looked confused after sticking my light meter in front of them. I framed it a little low but I like that you can see the space around the tiny shop on the edges of the frame. It seems to give it a subtle sense of what your looking at.
lovely lighting and framing. i love this shot.
Wonderful shot, is this what they mean by 6×7? As the format of it looks slightly longer than a square.
The length is pretty much an illusion here in this one :) It does look pretty long doesn’t it? 6×7 is a different ratio and its an old debate whether the 6×6 or 6×7 is a better format ratio. Both use medium format film its just dependent on the camera using it and how it crops the image onto the film. Some cameras have a setting to choose either. I prefer the square format and the different way I compose shots in that format compared to the wider/longer 35mm.
