Going Home

I thought I would go ahead and spread some more wallpaper joy into the world and post another couple of images for everyone. I have actually posted another shot of this way back in the twistedsun days for those of you who have followed through the years, you may recognize it. I know they are really similar but as I often do around here I put up a couple of versions for those of you with different needs or taste. Also, I hope you guys enjoy these somewhat classic 50ft type shots, I know many of you really enjoy the more nature leaning imagery and I am happy to help out with your secret nature lust desires.

Yes I remember it from the twistedsun days, still use it as a desktop sometimes as I like the contrast of the wooden walkway against the greenery. It might be interesting to return to it in winter and take a shot of it from the same angle to see how it changes.

You are an incredibly talented person. You should consider visiting the Maritimes in Canada in the spring. I think you’d find a lot of inspiration! Nature explodes there after the winter…plus the coast has awesome rocks, etc.

Long ago, there was a short-lived social app called Path. Somewhere along the way of setting up my account, I found this picture to use on my profile. Granted it was a pretty small, low-res picture but it epitomized “Path” to me and I just loved it. I’ve been searching for a better-quality version of this photo for years. I kid you not. And today, the planets finally aligned and I found your page. I am changing my phone wallpaper to this immediately. Thank you for sharing your work with us!

Christine, I can’t believe you found this again in that context. They actually used a number of my photos in the applications design when they were getting the App started. I’ll never forget the joy that brought me to know they were being shared and enjoyed and now rediscovered. Amazing. Thank you for the comment, though I did come across it nearly a YEAR later and you will likely never read this. Here’s to lives many paths and the unexpected places they lead us.

I ask that you refrain from using any images found on fiftyfootshadows.net to create physically printed material of any kind. This includes posters, photographic prints, fliers, etc. Under no circumstances may you make a physical reproduction without written permission.

These rules also apply for any artwork or imagery submitted and shown within this site which was created by an artist aside from myself. Support the artwork you admire! Also, it is greatly appreciated if you do NOT link directly to the zip files. This is more or less the same as re-posting them as it circumvents the tiny bit of support I ask of you which is to simply link back to the original post for others to enjoy the site.

It’s not fair to artists if you do not credit their work and link back to the original content creator. It is theft plain and simple and blogs that attempt to somehow be mysterious by not giving credit to the creators are simply hurting the artistic community as a whole. If you love it so much then please, support it! The artistic community on the Internet is based on trust. Without trust then what do we have? are you going to be one of the responsible users out there or will you be among the bottom feeders, stealing content and passing it off as your own to make a quick buck in ad sales.

Use your best judgement and we will get along just fine.

Thank you for your understanding and support!
