Hold On Tight
I will jump right in and say that these shots were shot in almost a satirical way as I was shooting them because upon seeing these rows of colorful handles down the subway train cars I was immediately reminded of the countless bokeh filled photos I have seen of this subject before. I started noticing a growing trend of photographers on flickr taking advantage of this easy obvious target for a nice fancy looking DOF shot and it got to the point where I saw so many people shooting the same thing that I would tease them when I saw a new one pop up. After a quick search on flickr I discovered that there is even a group dedicated to these sorts of shots! So these are my contribution to the Bokeh Subway Handle Society Of Photographers and thought they would make for nice desktops because of their simple but semi abstract sort of a feel. There was one image that I really loved where there was a single hand on one of the handles which was pushed out slightly from the rest of them but I missed the focus slightly and I’m not happy enough with it to post it, heh, not really too sure why I am telling you even.
